Welcome to Grammar Ghoul Press! Here is a quick overview of what you’ll find on the site:
The Ghouls’ Review
Grammar Ghoul Press publishes an online literary magazine four times a year. The Ghouls’ Review showcases the unique, the unusual and the most wildly creative fiction that we come across. Read our submission guidelines for more information about the types of pieces we’re looking for.
The Grammar Ghoul Writing Contest
Our newest feature closed to submissions on September 13th. But don’t despair. Our Writing Contest will be back in the winter! Stay tuned for all the details.
At Grammar Ghoul’s online 10-Day Writing Boot Camp, you’ll work one-on-one with a professional editor, who will help you identify your writing strengths and weaknesses and teach you how to address the weaknesses. The invaluable skills you learn here will carry forward into all your future writing.
Prompted weekly writing challenges
Grammar Ghoul Press also hosts two weekly writing challenges: the Mutant 750, for flash fiction up to 750 words, and the Shapeshifting 13, for micro-fiction in multiples of 13 words. Each week, participants are encouraged to read and comment on each other’s submissions, then vote for their favourites.
The Ghouls’ Lair: A community for writers
At the lair, you can let your hair down and get to know other members of the Grammar Ghoul community. This is the place to chat with your fellow writers, ask for feedback on your writing, and talk about that fantastic book you just read. The Ghouls’ Lair is moderated by our awesome ghoul, Tony Lovell.
Here, we have collected (and will continue to collect) some of the best articles about writing that the web has to offer. From literary conflict to the mechanics of style, chances are you’ll find the resource you need here.
Now go meet the ghouls!
