Shapeshifting 13 #10 Kickoff

July 17, 2015

Ghoulish Greetings & Spooky Salutations! Welcome back to Grammar Ghoul Press, home of the one & only Shapeshifting 13 Über Micro Challenge. Did you guys gnarl nail last week’s prompt, or what? Is there no end to your wit, creativity and respective talents? Apparently not.  MWAHAHAHA!

That said, are we ready to

dig the mini-micro-fiction scene with Shapeshifting 13?

But wait! Before we do that, let me remind you not to forget to read the submissions & vote for your favorites in the Mutant 750 Challenge #42. There is awesomeness afoot, for sure! Oh, and one more thing: have you lurked about in the Ghouls Lair lately? If not, what’s the hold-up? Tony has some interesting convos going on over there. Plus, he’s got big plans for the Lair, and you really need to be a part of it.

Okay, so last week for the Shapeshifting 13 Challenge, you were tasked with creating a story or poem using a whopping 13 words. This week, in exactly 26 words, your mission is to craft a story or poem inspired by any form of the word:

noun, plural anomalies.

a deviation from the common rule, type, arrangement, or form.

an odd, peculiar, or strange condition, situation, quality, etc…

an anomalous person or thing; one that is abnormal or does not fit in:

With his quiet nature, he was an anomaly in his exuberant family.
Synonyms: abnormality, exception, peculiarity.

an incongruity or inconsistency.

Astronomy. a quantity measured in degrees, defining the position of anorbiting body with respect to the point at which it is nearest to orfarthest from its primary.

Meteorology. the amount of deviation of a meteorological quantityfrom the accepted normal value of that quantity.
Now, in the midst of your creative frenzy, don’t forget to grab the Shapeshifting 13 #10 badge from the right side of the page, and insert it into your post. Have fun!

It’s still only letting me vote for one, sadly, and there are many excellent submissions this week! Great job, everyone!

The voting problem has been fixed, so you should be able to place 3 votes now. Sorry about that!
