Shapeshifting Winners of Challenge #30

December 8, 2015

Wowza, Ghoul Friends!

That challenge flew by! Things were a little quiet here at the Shapeshifting Lodge, but I think that might be the prompt, no? Bjork is one of my favorite artists–she’s quirky (and a little weird), and always original! This week’s prompt brought some serious visuals along with the intriguing music, and you ghouls didn’t disappoint with your creative assortment of writing!

Absolutely splendid!

Next week, I’m shifting gears back to a word prompt, so be prepared! I’ve been waiting (not so) patiently to use this word simply because I love saying it, so stay tuned!

Now, while you’re tossing that over in your noggin’, let’s look at a few reminders:

  • The Mutant 750 is taking a brief hiatus, and will kick back in soon.
  • Make sure to visit our Facebook and Twitter pages, and show us some love over there, too! And share our wonderful website with the world!
  • Our Summer/Fall issue of the Ghoul’s Review is out now! Check out the spectacular stories that were chosen!
  • Our Lair is always unlocked, so feel free to lurk through there whenever you feel the sensation!
  • The Shapeshifting 13 goes live every Friday at Noon ET. The grid will stay open until Sunday at 8:00 p.m., after which voting will open. Voting ends on Monday at 8:00 p.m., so you get about 24 hours to read and vote for your favorites pieces. Winners will be announced in a separate post on Tuesday at Noon ET. Further details can be found here.

Alrighty-roo, Ghouls! The winners of the SHAPESHIFTING 13 CHALLENGE #30 are:

1st: TNKerr with I Want to seeA delightful nod to our leading lady in the prompt, and a word of wisdom not to look at the artists. “It will only encourage” them! Excellent work! Don’t forget to snag that winner’s badge!

2nd: Susan  of Polysyllabic Profundities with The Mutual Core of Our BeingThis piece touches on the idea of being a part of a larger sum, and it’s heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time.

3rd: C2Avilez  of Views From Around the Corner with EruptionRelationships are not for the faint of heart, and the imagery in this piece paints the picture of an unsteady relationship on the verge of destruction.

Such well-deserved winners, and absolutely stunning work from each and every one of you! I hope to see you all again Friday for our Shapeshifting 13 Challenge #31 where your word limit will be 39 words!

Until next time, au revoir, and SHARE THE GEEKDOM!
